Dry-Needling

Therapeutic dry needling is a treatment technique used by physical therapists to relieve muscle pain and improve tissue movement. It involves inserting thin monofilament needles into specific points in the muscle called “trigger points” which are tight bands of muscle fibers associated with pain and dysfunction. Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is grounded in Western medicine and focuses on releasing muscle tension, reducing inflammation, and restoring normal tissue function. It is often used to treat conditions like back pain, neck pain, and sports injuries.

Graston Technique

The Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy that uses specialized instruments to help detect and treat areas of muscle tightness, scar tissue, and fascial restrictions. Practitioners use these tools to apply controlled pressure to targeted areas, breaking down adhesions and promoting better circulation and healing. The Graston Technique is often used in physical therapy and sports medicine to improve mobility, reduce pain, and aid in recovery from injuries, such as tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Cupping

Therapeutic cupping is a technique where suction cups are placed on the skin to create negative pressure, drawing the skin and underlying tissue into the cup. This process helps improve blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and reduce inflammation in the targeted area. Often used in physical therapy, sports medicine, and alternative medicine, cupping can help with muscle soreness, back pain, and overall recovery, promoting relaxation and healing.

BFR

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a technique that uses cuffs or bands to partially restrict blood flow to the muscles during exercise. This approach allows for effective muscle growth and strength gains with lighter weights than traditionally required. By limiting blood flow, BFR training promotes muscle fatigue and metabolic buildup, stimulating muscle growth (hypertrophy) similar to high-intensity workouts but at a lower intensity. This makes it especially useful for people recovering from injuries, as well as athletes looking to reduce joint strain while still building muscle.

FSM

Frequency-Specific Microcurrent (FSM) Treatment is a non-invasive therapy that uses low-level electrical currents to target specific tissues and conditions in the body. By delivering microcurrents set at specific frequencies, FSM aims to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and promote cellular healing. Commonly used for chronic pain, sports injuries, fibromyalgia, and nerve damage, FSM therapy works by enhancing the body’s natural healing processes at the cellular level. Many patients report improved function and reduced pain and discomfort after treatment.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to treating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves a range of techniques, such as joint mobilization, manipulation, and soft tissue massage, to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. Manual therapy is tailored to each individual’s needs, addressing issues like stiffness, tension, or restricted movement. By promoting proper alignment and reducing stress on the body, it plays a key role in rehabilitation and overall well-being.

Sports Performance

Sports performance training is a specialized approach to improving an athlete’s physical abilities and skills to excel in their sport. It focuses on enhancing strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility while addressing sport-specific techniques. This training incorporates strength and conditioning exercises, functional movements, and recovery strategies tailored to an athlete’s goals and needs. Whether for competitive athletes or individuals looking to optimize their performance, sports performance training helps build resilience, prevent injuries, and unlock peak potential.

Speed and Agility

Speed and agility training focuses on enhancing an individual’s ability to move quickly and change direction with precision and control. This type of training incorporates drills that improve reaction time, coordination, acceleration, and footwork. By targeting fast-twitch muscle fibers and refining movement mechanics, speed and agility training helps athletes perform at their best in sports requiring quick transitions and explosive movements. It’s also valuable for reducing injury risk and building overall athleticism, making it essential for anyone aiming to elevate their performance.

Return-to-Sport Assessment

A return-to-sport assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to determine an athlete’s readiness to safely resume their sport after an injury. This process examines key factors such as strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and sport-specific skills to ensure optimal recovery and reduce the risk of re-injury. Conducted by trained professionals, the assessment provides personalized feedback and benchmarks to guide the final stages of rehabilitation. It’s a critical step in bridging the gap between recovery and peak performance, giving athletes confidence as they return to competition or activity.

IV Infusion/Hydration Therapy

Infusion therapy is both a wellness and performance optimization treatment that delivers fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. This method ensures rapid absorption, making it a popular choice for rehydration, boosting energy, supporting immunity, and recovering from dehydration caused by exercise or illness. Whether preparing for the game, rehydrating after a triathlon/marathon, or coming out of an illness, IV infusion therapy is a fantastic cornerstone to wellbeing and performance. (Price varies on type of infusion requested)

TESTIMONIALS

  • Parker T.

“I have been working with Dr. Jones for 2 months now on my knee injury that had progressively gotten worse over the course of many years. I have not only seen great progress on an injury that seemed impossible to find relief, but I now have a very deep understanding of my personal physiology. He is an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. I absolutely recommend his services to anyone who is seeking relief from pain and looking for a physical therapist who is invested in each individual client.”
